On March 26th experiential workshops were carried out at Agios Athanasios II Primary School as part of the action ‘Safe Routes to School’, where 50 students participated. Most children were aware of road traffic signs. The students were motivated and participated in all activities. Almost all children brought their helmet and practiced how to wear it correctly since many children do not know how to wear it.
Also, a student told us that she uses the bus every day to go to school, the only case that we met until now. Most of the students are going to school by car. Carpooling is one of the topics that we talked during workshops.
Overall, students worked in groups, discussed about the different ways to go to school, and in particular discussed about sustainable mobility as well as the benefits that emerged. Many thanks for the hospitality.
