CHURCH ROUTES

Visitors can become familiar with yet another aspect of Cyprus civilisation by discovering churches and monasteries of the former Byzantine Empire. There are several routes in Limassol including one on Troodos with its ten richly decorated churches and monasteries.

UNESCO, an agency of the United Nations whose primary aim is to identify and conserve sites whose outstanding values should be preserved for all humanity, have placed these 10 locations on the World Heritage List. There are four religious routes throughout Limassol. More details can be obtained from your local CTO Office or from the website: www.visitcyprus.com
