The Limassol Tourism Board in collaboration with Cyprus from Air and within the Troodos Sports & Fun Festival are organising a guided hiking tour of the Artemis trail.

The Artemis trail is located on the top of Troodos and follows a circular route around the great Mount Olympus (Chionistra) at an altitude of 1850 metres. The trail offers spectacular views in all directions and entails walking through black pine forests where you will encounter rare species of flora and rock formations.

Route: 10km - Circular
Walking time: approx 4 hours
Difficulty grade: easy to medium
Meeting point: Troodos square at the Limassol Tourism Board/ Civitas Destinations info kiosk

Please bring with you the following recommended hiking equipment: hiking shoes or any other comfortable outdoor shoes, preferably synthetic trousers and t-shirt, small backpack, 1 litre of water or more and a snack, sun block and raincoat.

The Troodos Sports and Fun Festival 2017 is being organised by Biking Cyprus and the Troodos Tourism Board with the contribution of the Limassol Tourism Board and Cyprus from Air co-organising the guided hiking activity.

The guided hiking activity is being organised under the CIVITAS DESTINATIONS project, which promotes sustainable mobility in Limassol and five more European destinations. For more information about the project and actions in Limassol.

Additional information about the weekend (27 & 28 May):
