Limassol, 2026 – This Easter, the Municipality of Amathounta is bringing communities together with a vibrant program of events designed for all ages. Whether you’re looking to relive beloved traditions or simply enjoy quality time with family and friends, there’s something for everyone across all municipal districts.
Easter Fun Days in Germasogeia
One of the highlights this year is the “Easter Fun Days” at the Germasogeia Municipal Stadium on Easter Monday and Tuesday (April 13–14). The space will turn into a lively fun zone packed with activities like bungee jumping, bumper boats, inflatables, VR games, and hands-on crafts for kids. Entry is just €5 per child for unlimited play, and the fun doesn’t stop there—expect sweet treats, colorful mascots, and even entertaining parrot shows.
Celebrations Across the Municipality
The festive spirit spreads throughout Amathounta with a variety of local events:
Agios Athanasios: On Thomas Sunday (April 19), Irinis Square will come alive with traditional games, clay workshops, and kolotzi painting, along with music and dance performances by the Limassol Folklore Group and the band ANTAMA.
Germasogeia: Beyond the Easter Fun Days, Easter Monday brings music and games with a DJ at Hunters Park, while on Easter Tuesday you can enjoy the theatrical performance “Gerimia i Katastasi” at the Cultural Centre’s open-air theatre.
Agios Tychonas: The Municipal Park will be buzzing with music and games on Easter Sunday and Monday. Then on Tuesday, don’t miss the much-loved “Singles vs Married” football match, held in memory of Aris Kynigopoulos.
Mouttagiaka, Akrounta, Foinikaria & Mathikoloni: Local parks will host Easter Monday gatherings with traditional games, tombola, food, and music. Mathikoloni will also feature a friendly volleyball tournament.
Armenochori: Families can enjoy inflatables for children and freshly made loukoumades at the Municipal Park on Easter Monday.
Across all events, visitors can look forward to classic Easter fun like tombola, along with plenty of food, drinks, and traditional treats.
