“I Remember a Father…”: A Grand Tribute to the unforgettable Stratos Dionysiou
He was one of the greatest folk singers ever to grace Greek music. With his voice, he left an indelible mark on timeless songs such as “O Xenos”, “Vrechei Fotia sti Strata Mou”, “Ta Pires Ola”, and many more — songs that remain evergreen even today, 33 years after his passing. He was the one and only Stratos Dionysiou.
His three sons, Aggelos, Stelios, and Diamantis, who followed in their father’s musical footsteps, will honor him on stage in two major tribute concerts in Cyprus: on Thursday, 11 June at the Amphitheatre of the School for the Blind in Nicosia, and on Friday, 12 June at the “Marios Tokas” Municipal Garden Theatre in Limassol.
This unique musical tribute to the legend of Greek song is presented in Cyprus for the second time, following sold-out performances in 2023, under the title “I Remember a Father.”
The artistic direction of the program is by maestro Nikos Stratigos.
