& Angling
The sea around Cyprus hosts over 250 species of fish, including snapper, amberjack, and tuna, making Limassol a great destination for sea fishing. Boats can easily be rented from local fishing shelters and stations, offering opportunities for both casual anglers and seasoned fishermen.
For those interested in freshwater angling, Cyprus’ reservoirs are well stocked with 18 species, such as trout, largemouth bass, carp, pikeperch, and roach.

A special license is required, available from the Department of Fisheries and Marine Research or the Limassol District Office.
Popular fishing locations in the Limassol area include the Germasogeia, Kouris, Prodromos, and Polemidia reservoirs — each offering beautiful natural surroundings and a peaceful fishing experience.
