The most powerful rock gathering of the year is a fact! The legendary
Deep Purple, one of the top rock bands of all times, on the 8th of May 2011, to give us a true taste of classic rock! They will perform with the number one Greek rock star , Vasilis Papakonstantinou! A 4-hour unforgettable rock show at Eleftheria Stadium in Nicosia, which will unite two legendary rock names.
Fearless, intense and passionate, just like a flame that never stops burning, Deep Purple continue to write history on the rock scene, as they have been doing for the past 40 years. Ian Gillan, with his unchangeable voice, returns with his band and together they promise the strongest line-up of the latest years with a 90-minutes journey to the exciting world of classic rock.
The classic rockers Deep Purple sold more than 100 million album copies worldwide and were famously listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as “the loudest band of all times”! They started out alongside Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath and very soon were characterised as “the gods of the hard rock scene”. To this day, Deep Purple continue to influence major bands and inspire millions of fans with their music and sophisticated lyrics, while their sound always remains up to date and fresh. There is no rocker that hasn’t sang “Child in time”, “Smoke on The Water” or το “Soldier Of Fortune”! During their long career they have toured around the world with a huge success, knowing how to give unique concerts, with their outstanding live performance that always creates an unforgettable atmosphere.
On the other hand, Vasilis Papakonstantinou is undoubtedly the top voice of the Greek rock scene, a performer that has sung songs by the greatest Greek composers and poets. A passionate, intense, explosive rock performer, that continues to be at the peak of the Green rock scene with his all time classic songs and without losing his creativity. Along with his renowned, classic songs, we will hear some of his new songs from his newly released album.
