THE PHENOMENAL MUSICAL ''RENT'' IN CYPRUS!

The award-winning rock musical Rent by Jonathan Larson, after marking huge success for the last two years in Greece, is now coming to astound audiences in Cyprus with only three performances on 14 and 15 July at Makarios III Amphitheatre in Nicosia and 17 July at the Ancient Kourion Theatre in Limassol. The musical is adapted by the creator of major television successes, George Kapoutsides, who with his masterful creativity put his own touch to the texts, and the outcome is expected to sweep the Cypriot public off its feet.
This is a powerful, multifaceted production brought to Cyprus by the company Idea Planners, featuring a live onstage rock band, experienced and talented performers and a troupe of fifteen young, popular actors and singers, including Argyris Angelou, Isaiah Matiamba, Christos Georgalis, Katerina Tsavalou, Aris Plaskasovitis, Antigoni Psychrami, all of whom will take to the stage and interpret moments of a true "rock attitude!”
“Rent”, one of the longest running Broadway musicals, is a phenomenon: it has already been presented in 40 countries, translated into 22 languages, won a Pulitzer Prize and more than 20 Tony awards and other theater and music awards.
The musical is especially loved by many young people around the world, because it is work like no other created throughout the generations of the last two decades: the dreams, anxieties, dead ends, but mainly hope, cheer, joy and courage claiming one's life who dares to live by his rules - not by those dictated by conditions. Two roommates. Eight friends. A group of marginalized young people living one year ... full of twists and turns, passion, love and loss. They live on the outskirts of the Village of New York, fall in love in the time of Aids, create, experience friendship, success and failure. They live each day though it was their last. For more information on performances in Cyprus of the awarded rock musical Rent contact 22427583.
