Joint efforts to strengthen tourism and establish Limassol as a year-round destination
A meeting was held on 11 September 2026 in Limassol between the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mr Kostas Koumis, and the President of the Limassol Tourism Development and Promotion Company (Limassol Tourism Board), Mr Andreas Tsouloftas, with the participation of representatives of the Limassol Tourism Board, the Mayors of Limassol and Amathunta, the President of PASYXE Limassol, Mr Christos Tsanos, and representatives of the hotel industry.
The meeting included an assessment of the January–August 2026 tourism period, as well as an exchange of views on the prospects for further tourism development in Limassol.
Discussions focused on extending the tourism season, strengthening Limassol’s position as a high-quality year-round destination, and implementing targeted promotional activities in priority markets.
The importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors was also highlighted, with a view to enhancing Limassol’s competitiveness and strengthening its tourism presence in international markets.
