The XM Limassol Marathon 2026 was held with outstanding success over the weekend of 21 and 22 March 2026, once again confirming Limassol’s strong position as a leading destination for sports tourism and international events.

Despite the weather conditions and the rain throughout the two-day event, more than 17,000 runners from Cyprus and abroad took part in the race routes, marking an impressive 36% increase in international participation. The participants demonstrated a remarkable level of dedication and enthusiasm, creating a unique atmosphere across the city.

The success of the event was the result of the strong cooperation between the organisers, local authorities, volunteers, and sponsors, all of whom played a vital role in the successful delivery of the marathon.
