Located on the coastal avenue right in the heart of the city centre, the Limassol Municipal Garden counts over 100 years of life, which makes it one of the most historic places in Limassol and a hallmark of the city.
The Municipal Garden is a wonderful place to visit, ideal to spend some quality time with your family in a safe, relaxing and multicultural environment. A great number of local and foreign families visit the area on a regular basis to enjoy some well-deserved time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, in a lush green setting of a total of 60.000m2 , surrounded by a wide variety of eucalyptuses, pines and cypresses.
The Garden features a playground geared for young children, meeting all relevant safety standards, an open-air garden theatre and a refurbished zoo.
After two years of hard work, the revamped Limassol Zoo was inaugurated in 2012. Specially designed natural-looking habitats were created for all types of animals residing at the zoo. All species are well taken care of and are given the required attention and love, as well as proper nutrition. Guests can enjoy their stroll and grab the opportunity to take a close look at the animals in a pleasant environment, since all safety regulations are observed. By visiting this small modern Zoo, visitors will have the chance to view remarkable, beautiful and interesting animals, birds and reptiles from all continents.
